As an administrative assistant role, there is a wide variety of roles you will take at your workplace and your roles will vary according to the workplace for the company you are working for. Now our main objective is to get to know what kind of questions someone would ask you for the administration job interview. How you can prepare for them? What information you will add while giving answers?

There are some basics that everyone should know before going for the admin job interview as by following these basic rules you can fulfil your dream of becoming a successful administrative.

Always arrive early for the interview

It is extremely important to arrive at least 15 minutes early for your interview. As there can be any unexpected situations happen such as traffic in your way, unable to get the parking, the elevator is broken etcetera. So, reaching the interview place early will give some extra time to handle the situation wisely.

Effective clothing

In this modern scenario, there are various options for a candidate regarding dress during the interview. Some examples of dresses are business casual, business formal, business professional etcetera. Make sure that you are wearing an appropriate dress for the interview depending upon the type of job you have applied for. For instance, if you are going for an interview at a construction company you can dress casually. If you are having questions about the dress code you can consult with the company.

Research about the company

It is better to do some research about the company you are going to give an interview to. It will be built your confidence and besides that, you can able to give answers to the commonly asked questions such as what makes you excited to work in your company? Or can you tell us about our company, what kind of work we do?

After discussing the basics, now we will continue with the questions that can be asked during the admin assistant interview process. Usually, there can be three categories from where the employer can ask you the questions about the organization, working in the team, and customer service.

  • Describe a situation in which you gave excellent customer service to a rude customer?
  •  What kind of techniques do you use for time management? Talk about the time you worked in the team as a team leader?
  • Talk about your previous work experience? Are you an organized person and how?

Besides all the above-mentioned questions they may ask you technology-based questions, as an admin assistant you should be tech-savvy.
